Resorts

The Old Phuket: Based in Karon, The Old Phuket has recently added a new Asian-style reception area with kids room, gym and library. It is decorated in an old Sino style that looks a bit like Phuket town without the clutter of power lines and motor bikes. The rooms are clean and bright, especially the ground floor ones with the cute painted doors adorned with gold leaf.

Print Kamala Resort: Just across the road from Kamala beach and with amazing pools if you are not a beach person. Lots of restaurants and shops around and a Thai temple within walking distance too.

Burasari: Personally I would avoid Patong as a place to stay (shop and party there but stay in peaceful Kata or Karon just up the road) but if you must then Burasari is a good place to be. It is named after the rare Burasari flower that grows on the property.

Movenpick Phuket Resort and Spa: I love the grounds with huge green areas, little salas, orchid gardens, a collection of swimming pools and excellent restaurants.

Mom Tris Villa Royale Resort: Villa Royale was created by the well-known artist and architect Mom Luang Tridhosyuth Devakul, better known as Mom Tri. You’ll won’t want your vacation to end!

Sri Panwa Phuket: It’s cool, it’s hip, it’s beautiful every moment of the day. The rooms are modern and stylish and the view is stunning even on a rainy day.

Resorts With Exceptional Wedding Packages

JW Marriot Phuket Resort and Spa: You can get hitched on the beach or in the gardens at the posh JW Marriot Resort and Spa at Mai Khao Beach.

The Village, Coconut Island: Your own private island destination is just a short boat ride away from Phuket’s mainland. The staff love to cater for weddings and know how to put on impressive events.

Sala Phuket Resort and Spa: I rave about Sala because of the modern architecture and lush gardens all rolled together. “Urban nature” is how a staff member once described it. Attention to detail is one of Sala’s strengths and on your wedding day this is key.

Indigo Pearl: I love photographing weddings at Indigo Pearl. There are so many stunning areas for photos that you almost need 2 days for bridal photographs (which many couples do with actual wedding day photography followed by a trash the dress session). And the in-house florist team is incredible. Your wedding day will be perfect at Indigo Pearl at Nai Yang Beach.

Twin Palms: The Twin Palms deserves the great reputation it has for putting on lavish beach weddings and cool after parties at The Catch Club Bar in Surin.

Paresa Phuket Resort: A beautiful location near Kamala that seems like you are getting married on top of the world. The views of the ocean from the Miracle Lawn where weddings are usually held is amazing.

Bundarika Chapel: The beautiful Bundarika Chapel in the mountains overlooking Layan and Bang Tao beaches can hold up to 40 guests and is a romantic venue for a wedding ceremony.

Katathani Phuket Beach Resort: At the end of Kata Noi Beach is Katathani where many weddings are held throughout the year. The setting is perfect for a wedding on the white sands of Phuket.

Spas

The Angsana Spa at Dusit Laguna Resort: There are many things to love about this place including the friendly staff, luxury treatments, pretty view of the water and beautiful gardens leading to the spa rooms.

Sukko Spa: Based in Chalong the Sukko Spa is a huge spa with a wide range of treatments, gardens, shopping, restaurant and you can even hire wedding outfits if you feel like having a bridal photo shoot. A good spa if you are with a group of friends.

Majenta Spa: You wouldn’t expect to find such a nice spa at a shopping mall but Majenta Spa on the top floor of Villa Market in Chalong is lovely. There is a Moroccan theme and highly recommended is the spicy body scrub and the sabai stone massage.

Hair & Make-up

Lisa Allen – makeupartistphuket.com: Lisa is a make-up artist, hair designer and stylist from the UK and is the person I prefer to work with during weddings and photo shoots. She has a creative eye for fashion, uses only the best products and is the nicest person you could hope to meet too.

Restaurants

Kan Eang at the Pier – kaneang.com: My favorite seafood restaurant in Phuket is at the end of Ao Chalong. You can have a romantic candlelit dinner overlooking the water or enjoy some drinks at the cool indoor bar. The prices are very reasonable. Kan Eang means “feel at ease.”

Kampong Kata Hill Restaurant: It’s worth a visit just for the decor which includes gorgeous Asian antiques and artwork that makes you feel like you are dining in a museum. The food is wonderful too.

China Inn Cafe & Restaurant: Located at 20 Thalang Road, Phuket Town with excellent and healthy Thai food and antiques and art to admire while you wait for your food.

Natural Restaurant, Phuket Town – naturalrestaurant-phuket.com: A very popular spot for Thais because of the great food and prices. Old TV sets made into fish bowls are just one part of the really interesting decor.

Siam Indigo – siamindigo.com: A stunning old building with super friendly staff and a great dining and cocktail menu.

Laem Hin Seafood Restaurant: Just go at Laem Hin Pier near Boat Lagoon and you can dine on some of the best seafood on the island with perfect views of the ocean.
