Thailand Diving

James from Dive Community was in Phuket (2006 – 2007)  I am a PADI Staff Instructor and ran the dive centre in Phuket and worked on IDCs in Phuket in 2006 – 7 so I have a love for diving but full time I now run an Internet / Website Design company and am now back in the UK.

Have now worked with three PADI Course Director run websites recently, In particular the website I have been working on with for the PADI IDC in Phuket  is now very successful and has top 10 search terms for over 15 key search terms / keywords as well as having a complete redesign recently and ongoing Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) project,

If you would like to discuss your website sometime as I see there are many areas that could be improved upon in terms of look / feel / design and SEO.

For reference I have also worked with UK Based Course Director Steve Prior, I know Steve and Janet Prior (from 2005 at Adventures in Diving) and have advised him on his website recently so hopefully with 3 course directors recommendations and a history of creating and improving dive websites, as well as being a PADI Instructor myself I would hope you know I can do an excellent job for you

Phuket Diving Websites

I have opened a new center in Phi Phi and things are pretty hard this season, anyway, I am interested in redoing the web sites, but what kind of fees are you looking at to produce a design?

Your site could definitely benefit for a new / clean and fresh design and a optimisation for the search engines (SEO) as you are coming behind other phuket dive centres  or not showing in top 2 pages for lots of key search phrases on google including

diving phuket
diver training
diver training phuket
PADI courses
PADI IDC

In yahoo you are not placed well at all ! position 65 for diving phuket !

So even though I initially thought you just need a site redesign I think you seriously need a site redesign plus a SEO (search engine optimisation) project to get you back in the top 5 for all your key terms. As your site has a lot of content I would need to  analyze it all and get the correct spread of search terms inserted into the text as well as optimising every page, the other dive centre is miles ahead of you in terms of site optimisation and you need a good lot of work to get you back up there. I keep up to date with the student numbers in Phuket from my other clients so I know Instructor numbers are good and even going up year on year (according to PADI instructor examiners) So if you are seeing reductions I think its as your website is not as highly placed as it should be.

for instance phuket diving are number 2 in yahoo for scuba diving instructor ! that is an internationally position (as it doesn’t use a geographical area like phuket) and you are not even in the first 20 pages (top 200 position) so as you can see there is lots of work to do,

FYI I chatted to Richie Kohler a couple of time via email recently also with regard to upgrading him images on one of his websites about the sub him and John Chatterton found. He was over in Birmingham and invited me to meet him but unfortunately I was busy with other clients the day he had free

if you are in any doubt about our abilities we are doing the other PADI IDC website’s SEO and they currently have 3 sites in the top ten for padi idc phuket in yahoo and google

We would charge you £1200 for a complete website redesign* and £900 over 3 months for the SEO project

The website redesign would need a £600 deposit with £600 paid on completion and the seo project would be £600 at the start and £100 at the end of months 1,2 and 3

Believe these are competitive costs and would leave your website ranking much higher than it currently does now.

*the redesign starts from scratch using none of the code you currently have on your website and includes seo as standard but the seo project over 3 months would be needed to ensure you rank highly for years to come (but would advise another seo project in a years time)

New website promotion

Good I am glad you are interested as you know I have a passion for diving and I have priced this work realistically as I want to work with dive companies as its much more inspiring for me and as you can see from my previous results, I know we can deliver the results for you and want to bring your company more success and may even manage a visit to Phuket at the end of the year and will come and check you out.

I would like to think that once the website re-design plus the SEO project is completed (SEO project will be 3 months) that we will arrange a long term relationship whereby we can offer you a monthly / bi-monthly SEO update for your site and external web sources (external links / directories etc) This will keep your site tuned and competitive and the search engines love sites that are updated.regularly.

Its inevitable that once your site is listed highly it will slowly drift around then start to go down the rankings (over time) but if its updated regularly with new pages added and content added to the existing pages with ‘tweaks’ made to the code it will remain highly ranked.

Please dont think that all the work is down to us  I will ask a reasonable amount of work from yourself, especially by adding entries to our news page and blog pages. I will obviously update this myself but ‘real’ news from yourself will be updated by yourself via  CMS (update your own website ) that I will build into your site or you can simply email us and we will update your site once you give us the text.

You need to start collecting testimonials / and photos or ex-students and photos of them training / diving / working, the search engines love photos, I will also be requesting videos from you and will host them with youtube and google video and allowing them to be viewed from your site.

Finally the website / blog and new ecommerce part of the website is finished and a big thank you to website designer James Brabyn and his team at Delicious Webdesign! This was such a big task.

I am definitely interested in your offer. Just one question is once you have done SEO how do I keep it up to date?? Stay in the first pages?
